What's Federal Government Information? Anything published or written or created by the US Government of US Government Agency! Yeah!
Some Basic Government Information Tools:
www.USA.gov The main government web portal. It's a nice place to start on-line to explore the many agencies and programs of the US Government. You may browse by topic, audience or search for a specific agency. I personally have fun perusing the government auctions.
The United States Government Manual (AE 2.108/2: Year) An nice place to look for neat little charts of the government hierarchy. Also includes short histories of agencies and agency duties with employee listings.
Statistical Abstract of the United States: 2009, The National Data Book (C 3.134: Year) Nice place to start for basic, quick, statistic questions. I've found that if I don't know where to start when looking for a statistic I'll start here and follow the references listed for the information back to the source.
FDsys New system which provides online access to items submitted by Congress and Federal Agencies. www.fdsys.gov
